Concussion Information
The Ohio General Assembly passed the "Return to Play Law" in 2013 that affects WASA coaches, referees and parents. This law requires that all WASA coaches and referees take a free, online concussion course and must re-certify every three years by retaking the course. There are also requirements for parents if their child sustains a concussion or is suspected of sustaining a concussion during a WASA soccer game. Please see the Ohio Department of Health site for more information about this law.
Coaches and referees must take one of the following free, online Concussion Management Training classes. Either course is acceptable and each provides a certificate upon completion of the course. Please send a copy of the certificate to your league/referee coordinator.
